Recycling Centres in Limerick

Recycling is the process of separating, collecting and remanufacturing or converting used items into new products. The used materials that we recycle are converted into new products, reducing the need to consumer natural resources to make new products.

There are so many items nowadays that can be recycled, almost everything can! Here at BIGbin we encourage our customers to recycle as much as they can as we are an environmentally friendly company. Although we recycle 50% of the waste that we recover from our compactors to recycling facilities, it is still important that our customers do their bit for the environment and recycle.

Did you know that by recycling one aluminium can you could save enough energy to power a television for up to 3 hours? It’s time to start doing your bit for the environment and encourage your friends and family to recycle too!

Our BIGbin units are an environmentally friendly method of waste disposal. All of our compactors are fully sealed which adhere to all EPA guidelines. When the BIGbin is full it is collected and brought to a recycling centre where we recycling the contents using Mechanical Biotechnology Treatment (MBT) Technology .We recycle over 50% of the waste we collect from the BIGbin units.
