How BIGbin Works

Buy a Ticket or Top Up Online

You can purchase a ticket in the shop on-site or top-up online before you leave with your rubbish.

Enter Your Phone Number + PIN

At the compactor, enter your mobile number and either your online PIN or ticket code.

Get Rid of Your Rubbish!

You can typically fit 2 (80-litres) black bags or clear recycling bags in either drum per use.

Smart Tips For The BIGbin

Put your biggest/first bag in sideways, then stand it up in the drum and push it all the way to the side of the drum. Then add your next bag.

If using smaller bags, stack them in together. Squeeze the air out of your bags to make the most of your space. If your bags are very large, you may only get one in, we advise you to use 2 x 80L standard black bags.
Crush and flatten things like boxes, container and bottles.

Other tips include:

Take your glass bottles to the bottle banks, they are free to use and there is a lot of them around.
