If you’re looking to dispose of your rubbish in Tipperary there there are a number of options, starting with their civic amenity sites, which are located at the following locations:

Shannon Developments Ind Estate, Bruree Road, Kilmallock, Co Limerick, Bunlicky, Mungret, Co Limerick and Station Road, Newcastle, Co Limerick.

They each have different opening times. In Kilmallock, they are only open two days a week – Tuesday & Saturday  – (10am to 16:45pm). In Mungret, they open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday (10am to 16:45pm) and in Newcastle, they open Wednesday & Saturday (10am to 16:45pm).

It’s free to dump items such as fridges and washing machines and if you want to dump a black sack of rubbish  it will cost you €5 per bag. They also accept larger items but the cost rises for such items – for example, a single mattress costs €15 to dump and it’s €20 for a double and €25 for a king.

There is an alternative to civic amenity sites in Limerick and that’s the BIGbin, which is located at six locations in Limerick:

Circle K Ballysimon, Ballysimon Rd, Limerick V94 V1KF

Circle K Caherdavin, Ennis Rd, Limerick, V94 TX8Y

Circle K Corbally, Corbally Rd, Limerick, V94 VPN8

Amber Service Station, Watch House Cross, Limerick

Centra Applegreen, Patrickswell, Limerick

Top Oil Service Station, Roxboro, Limerick, V94 ND3A

It costs €8 to drop two big black sacks of rubbish and just €2 to drop your recycling so the BIGbin is better value than your local dump. Also, it’s open every day from early until late so it’s available when you need it.
